Animal Bones, Human Hair and Found Object Assemblage

24x23x14 inches

When living beings croak everything but their bones decay.  Even stories or memories kept by those who knew the departed eventually decay. In the rare instances that they do remain, passed down to generations, those memories simplify, becoming myth.  Bones and myth are eventually all we keep of those who lived before us. At this point in our scientific development we know much more about the contents of outer space than the deep ocean. Much of what is in the ocean is largely theory, myth.  What we know is for certain becomes accepted, ordinary. What we do not know is simultaneously terrifying and sacred. No one knows with evidence what happens when we die, we only know that we all must die. Eventually we all must enter the sacredness of myth.  Is it the same as the deepest point in the ocean?
